St Helena is a 5 bedroom property in a beautiful beachfront location. It sits next to the calm clear waters of the west coast of Barbados. It is also close to Holetown. Here you will find plenty of fine dining restaurants, beach bars and shopping opportunities.

This charming 5 bedroom villa can accommodate up to 16 guests. There are 5 bedrooms in the main house and a further 3 in the recently completed 3 bedroom cottage. The cottage is located within the grounds of St Helena. St Helena is tastefully designed and comfortably furnished. It was designed by the late Oliver Messel. Its most recent renovations were completed by renowned local architect Larry Warren.

As you enter St Helena on the ground level there are two attractive sitting areas. These lead out onto a covered dining  terrace. This terrace overlooks the lovely tropical gardens.

Two of the five ensuite bedrooms located downstairs close to large swimming pool. There is a spacious pool deck, bar and al fresco dining area.

The pool deck is partly covered. It features beautiful fountains carved from the Island's natural coral stone. There is also a spa pool which is nestled within the gardens in its own private area.

The other 3 bedrooms are situated upstairs and they all lead out on to a semi-circular terrace. This provides a spacious, relaxing area. It is the perfect spot to watch the sun go down cocktail in hand. The terrace has a lovely bar overlooking the lush gardens and Caribbean Sea beyond.

The grounds at St Helena have plenty of areas to sit, relax or dine. There is a romantic alfresco dining gazebo close to the beach entrance. Villa Helena has some unique features such as a lily pond and an aviary which houses 250 homing budgerigars.

The new 3 bedroom cottage at St Helena was recently completed. It is beautifully decorated and furnished. It offers 3 en suite bedrooms. 2 of the bedrooms are upstairs and the 3rd is downstairs. The cottage also has its own spacious living room and a kitchenette. There is a large terrace overlooking the pool. This is a lovely place to relax and unwind.

For guests further enjoyment the villa rental includes water-sports with boat and toys for an hour each day

The Halliday Party - January 2019

After that smooth sailing, Kirk got us to St Helena in one piece and we were greeted by the whole staff. The introduction to what was to be the most cohesive, efficient and friendly team you could wish for. We were all absolutely blown away with the incredible style and decor of the magnificent property with each room surpassing our expectations. The views from the villa, especially the sunsets, were spectacular and will remain as one of our indelible memories of this incredible holiday.

We cannot speak highly enough of the villas team. Each and everyone worked seamlessly to ensure the house worked like clockwork and to give us the best experience possible. Working together they are the engine to make this magnificent property great and our experience second to none.

The service that Rawle gave us daily anticipating our every need as well as addressing any queries or requests was exceptional. And always with a smile, although that may of had something to do with the cricket scores!

Erlene is simply one of the best cooks we’ve had the pleasure to experience. Not only producing fabulous local cuisine but giving us a fine dining experience on many occasions including a Key Lime Pie that we all agreed was the best we’ve ever had. Under what could be difficult circumstances like last minute requests , numbers and shifting a party with 24 hours notice we genuinely had perfect food every time.  

Floreette was our housekeeper who ensured the house was spotless everyday. But also she was the hostess who gave us the right bus routes, told us of the church services, told us not to get sunburn and generally looked after our well being.

Alison's laundry service for all 9 people was superb. All washed and ironed within 24 hours allowing us all to return to the UK with little to no laundry. And all with a beaming smile.

Kendrick and Emerson, our gardeners, make this house so different to the other west coast properties. The gardens are quite spectacular bringing green monkeys, humming birds, mongooses,  as well as many other local wildlife right to our door. With two of our party keen gardeners they were happy to share their green fingered secrets. The gardens down to the beachfront are absolutely central to making this property such a unique experience.

Frank, our night security, was here every night greeting us on our return from a night out and making us feel safe and secure.

It is obvious that the teams length of service contributed to the clockwork running of St Helena, their seamless interchanging of duties on days off and the pride and dedication they all have in ensuring that every member of our party had a holiday to be remembered.

Please ensure that all concerned, including the owners, know how special this team and property are and a massive thank you from the Halliday party.
